According to a study from the year 2004 of the "Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo" (PNUD) Argentina has reached the position number 34 between 117 nations
according to human development.
It is placed above countries like Saudi Arabia, Hungary, Brazil, Chile, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, China and South Africa.
The index of Human Development of the year 2004 of the PNUD had Noruega in its first position, Canada in it's forth and United States in its eighth place.
France and Spain has been located in the positions 16 and 20 respectively.
The competition of Argentina in the area had been placed behind: Chile number 43, Uruguay 46, Venezuela 68 and the powerful Brazil 72.
In the ranking of happiness, Denmark is the leader country and Argentina the number 56.
This was revealed by a private study that developed more than a hundred investigations like the United Nations Children's Found (UNICEF), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the World Health Organization (OMS). The answers have been compared with data about the life level, the education and the health system. Costa Rica, number 13, is the happiest country of Latin America.
On a list of 178 nations, Denmark, Switzerland and Austria complete the podium; in the meantime the last posts of the list are for Zimbabwe and Burundi.
The "Top Ten" is completed with Iceland, Bahamas, Finland, Sweden, Bhutan, Brunei and Canada.
To elaborate the study, it has been analyzed the data of more than a hundred investigations, from the United Nations Children's Found (UNICEF), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the World Health Organization (OMS), and others.
The psychologist Adrian White also used surveys in which over 80,000 people from around the world declared about themes related to happiness and satisfaction.
The answers were compared with data about the life level, the education and the Health System.
White concluded that in the valuation of the self satisfaction the health has a more important role in the world that the life level and the education, but he exposed that the three levels are completely related to one another.
In countries with good health attention, high level of growth and good access to the educational system people said they are happier than in other places.
From Latin America, Costa Rica seams to be the happiest country, with the number 23 in the list, while Spain is in the 46th place.
Other Spanish Speaker countries were in the following places: Venezuela (25), Colombia (34), Honduras (37), Panama (39), Dominican Republic (42), Guatemala (43), Mexico (51), Argentina (56), El Salvador (61), Chile (71), Paraguay (75), Cuba (83), Nicaragua (85), Uruguay (87), Ecuador (111), Peru (115) and Bolivia (117), Brazil was in number 81.
